Bob Elmer from Madison, Wisconsin follows in the footsteps of Glarner emigrants who emigrated to the USA in the 19th and 20th centuries. Bob initially pursued his own Glarus roots and over the years has focused on Glarner offspring in the US. For his research, he was often in the canton of Glarus and has made inquiries in the state archive and archive of the Glarus Emigration Association (Pulverturm Schwanden). Bob is the author of the book "Glarners in America".
